During the on-water work a number of seabed surveys were recorded at different locations around the Cadiz harbour.  IHM was especially interested in the shallow water mapping capability of the MBES and the ease and speed which QPS could present QA/QC data during data collection and deliver processed data soon after each survey.  One of the test sites for the integrated solution was to see the performance of the Sonic2022 in 700 kHz UHD (Ultra High Density) mode.  The results (see image) clearly shows a fallen concrete pillar with great clarity.

All in all, a great success and a very productive 2 days - IHM were very pleased with one-cable interface between the Sonic 2022 / POS MV WaveMaster and QINSy, and the all-in-one over-the-side mounting which resulted in a very fast mobilisation.  During data collection, QINSy proved robust and fully capable of handling full data rates (INS and MBES bathy/backscatter/truepix and watercolumn), additionally they liked the real-time data visualization and the data quality control tools as well as how easy it is to operate QINSy together with the MBES.  On the same laptop as QINSy, happily running alongside QINSy was Qimera LIVE, meaning that survey results could be validated with Qimera just seconds after the QINSy *.db file recording was closed.  This workflow allows simultaneous recording and near-realtime processing of data – delivering a significantly sped up workflow - exactly what the IHM was looking for.
