Combined workshop processing QINSy and Fledermaus
On the 10th February Jesper Hoejdal from HydroCharting organised a workshop in Copenhagen. The workshop was a combination of QINSy and Fledermaus from IVS3D. Both software packages showed the ideal processing flow using a bathymetric data set.
Furthermore, two interesting guest speakers were invited, Mr.Jeroen van Reenen from the Port of Rotterdam gave a presentation about data acquisition and processing flow, and how they update their electronic charts in the Port of Rotterdam.
From the Institute for Baltic Sea Research in Warnemunde, Dr Jens Schneider von Deimling presented a paper about gas detection using multibeam mapping sonar.
Around 40 participants came to the workshop, which made it a huge success. The workshop ended with a closing diner.
We would like to thank Jesper Hoejdal, for the excellent organisation, and we hope that such an event will be organised also in 2012.
