Promotion film Maritime Institute Willem Barentz

Last summer QPS together with Kongsberg Holland and the Maritime Institute Willem Barentz (MIWB) participated in shooting a promotion film for the MIWB. The MIWB is located on the island of Terschelling, which is the largest of the West Frisian Islands (Dutch: Waddeneilanden) in the North of The Netherlands.

For the promotion video a hydrographic survey was conducted in an area called Oosterom, South-East of the town of West Terschelling. According to the nautical charts there is supposed to be a wreck, always a nice feature to survey.

Technology students executed several surveys in front of (local celebrity/singer/cameraman) Hessel, while QPS and Kongsberg delivered technical support on board of the survey vessel Octans.

After hard work our multimedia department finished the film. We wish Rob van Ree (teacher at the MIWB) good luck in promoting the education of hydrography.
