Qimera Training held at Plymouth University, UK

QPS recently sponsored the Qimera training that took place for the School of Marine Science and Engineering (Faculty of Science and Engineering)at Plymouth University (UK) from January 26th to 28th.

Twenty-one students and faculty had the opportunity for a one day Qimera training course by QPS staff over the period of these three days.

Qimera is the newest product from QPS, an easy to use yet powerful sonar data processing application. Built using core QPS technologies, As well as QINSy projects, Qimera supports the major raw sonar file formats and by working with the Dynamic Workflow™ it revolutionises the way data is handled and the operator experience when processing hydrographic data.

The students received a hands-on learning experience, achieving final products to deliver to future clients. Fledermaus was used for all data presentation.

Feedback was very positive, including the following:

I’ve learned a lot!

I’m interested in taking a follow up course to learn more

I would highly recommend attending this course!

Nice experience, the basics were well taught

A good course with the right balance between theoretical and practical

Very informative and lots of hands-on time
