QPS welcomes Ms. Samantha Bruce and Ms. Victoria Price to our USA office
We are pleased to announce the addition of two highly skilled Technical Sales Engineers, Ms. Samantha Bruce and Ms. Victoria Price to the Portsmouth, USA office.
Samantha has joined the QPS team from the NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping Program where she worked as a Hydrographic Data Analyst focusing on Hurricane Sandy affected areas. Prior to being at the NOAA Joint Hydrographic Center, Samantha worked as a Geospatial Extension Specialist for the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium and was an adjunct faculty member of the Department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences at the College of Charleston. Samantha completed her undergraduate degree at Brevard College in Environmental Studies and Geology, and earned an M.S. at the College of Charleston in Environmental Studies with a focus on Water Resources.
Victoria previously worked at the University of New Hampshire’s Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping as a research scientist, where she focused on developing new techniques for habitat classification using remotely sensed bathymetric data and object-based image analysis. She has a background in lidar and acoustic data processing and analysis for ecological purposes, as well as the collection and analysis of high-resolution imaging sonar data for fisheries ecology applications.
