Qimera beta testing in full swing!
Excitement mounts as Qimera enters its second phase of beta testing. The first week of December marked the kick-off of Qimera’s beta testing phase when several industry users met in QPS’ Portsmouth, NH, USA office to try their hand at the latest QPS software product. Users remarked that they were impressed by the ease of use and guided processing workflows.
Colleen Peters of Schmidt Ocean Institute stated, "I am very excited to use Qimera on board. We often have students and scientists on our ship that have never processed multibeam data, so having one package that can ‘do it all’ will significantly simplify our workflow from start to finish. Compared to other products I find it easy to learn and more importantly it will be easy to teach.”
And Ryan Larsen of C&C Technologies says, "I found Qimera's workflow to be quick and intuitive. Qimera is easy to learn while retaining advanced features for dealing with problem data sets. I think that our final products will look better than ever."
A parallel group in Europe participated in a similar round of demonstrations and testing. The second phase of beta testing will continue in Zeist, NL this month as we champion towards completion and release of Qimera.
