QPS provides continuing support of USM Hydrographic Sciences Program
QPS continues to provide support to USM Hydrographic Sciences Graduate Program at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, and recently conducted their annual training to graduate students. The training covered the combined workflow using the QINSy and Fledermaus software, and was undertaken the week before the students’ started their final survey field projects.
The USM program is an FIG/IHO Category A accredited program and one of the premier international hydrographic science programs. It attracts students from around the world, and graduates continue on to various national hydrographic organizations, offshore survey companies and ongoing academic research.
QPS has a long record of supporting academic programs that provide these types of programs, and the company considers this to be an important contribution to the international hydrographic community.
