June 2012 Fledermaus Plug-In Development Training Course
QPS-US will be hosting our first Fledermaus Plug-Ins Training Course on June 14th and 15th at the University of New Hampshire Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping in Durham, New Hampshire. This initial course will be free and will last approximately 1.5 days, covering plug-in creation for the Fledermaus Geocoder Toolbox (FMGT) and FMMidwater modules in Windows and Mac environments.
Programming experience is required, and attendees will be expected to bring their own laptops with Visual Studio 2008 installed on Windows or the latest X-Code development environment installed on the Mac. Attending students will receive a configuration document prior to the class detailing how to configure your machine for plug-in development. Attendance will be limited to no more then six students. If you have any questions or would like to attend, please contact us.
About Fledermaus Plug-Ins:
As of the Version 7.3.2 Release of Fledermaus, several modules in the Fledermaus Suite are plug-in ready. This means that the software can be used as a platform to run your own custom tools and algorithms and QPS can deliver new advanced and extended capabilities via simple website download. Simply add the new plug-in capabilities to your installation's 'plugins' folder, restart the application, and your new capabilities are ready for use. Currently, the Fledermaus Geocoder Toolbox (FMGT) backscatter processing module, FMMidwater water column processing module, and our Scientific Format (SF) bathymetry gridding module are plug-in capable; eventually most modules in the suite will have plug-in capability.
