QPS and Acoustic Imaging are pleased to announce a Regional Training Workshop to be held at the University of Sydney (Madsen Building, Room 301), NSW.
A series of courses will be offered covering the workflow established between the QPS QINSy and Fledermaus product lines. The course schedule is currently planned to be:
- Fledermaus Basics (2-day): Baseline course for new Fledermaus users covering such topics as Scene assembly, navigation in a 3D/4D environment, project / data management, processing / analysis of gridded and ungridded data, image editing and draping, surface differencing, the new Profile tool, and creation of flight paths and movies.
- Fledermaus Offshore (1-day): Advanced course for experienced Fledermaus users covering capabilities associated with FMGeocoder Tool Box (backscatter mosaicking and seabed characterisation), RoutePlanner (pipeline/cable route planning), FMGIS (Arc workspace integration including SSDM support); VesselManager (real-time vessel monitoring), and the Interpretation tool.
- QINSy Processing Manager and Fledermaus Hydro (1-day): The course will provide a brief overview of the QINSy Processing Manager application and how it links in with the QPS hydrographic workflow established in Fledermaus for processing/analysing multibeam echo sounder data. The workflow includes building Pure File Magic data structures from source data (e.g., QPD, GSF, FAU, ALL, HS2, HDCS) for flagging / tracking sounding attributes, 3DEditor, the implementation and use of CUBE as both an editing tool and a final data product, and the creation of final data deliverables (including ArcGIS linkages).
Cost for the workshop will be $350 AUD / day / person. Cost includes training manuals, training dongles, training data sets, morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.
